Professional cavity floor and raised floor cleaning in data centres
Between raised floor panels and the structural floor, large amounts of dirt and construction dust can accumulate, especially after new builds or renovation work. Fine dust circulation inside the data centre also makes raised floor cleaning a regular necessity in order to maintain high system availability. If too much dust collects in sensitive IT infrastructure, failures can occur.
Protecting data centres through raised floor cleaning
For 25 years, companies of all sizes have protected their IT infrastructure against outages with raised floor cleaning in data centres by PING Rechenzentrumsreinigung GmbH. Especially after construction work, comprehensive data centre cleaning helps maintain dust protection classes 8, 11 or 13 according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1. Our trained technicians use specialist vacuum cleaners and TÜV-tested cleaning agents so that the conductive surface of the raised floor is not damaged.
Experienced employees perform efficient cavity floor cleaning
We begin cavity floor cleaning in a data centre with specialist cleaning of the substructure, supports, panel supports and the entire structural floor. Cable routes inside the raised floor are vacuumed from all sides using specialist vacuum cleaners. Before the floor panels are replaced, all installed components and data lines are cleaned. After reinstallation, the accessible PVC floor surface can optionally be damp-cleaned. During raised floor cleaning in data centres, we follow manufacturer specifications and the “Safety Guideline for Raised Floors” issued by Bundesverband Systemböden e.V.
Machine cleaning and stripping of raised floor surfaces
Wet cleaning of raised floor surfaces is strictly prohibited in many data centre environments. Dry cleaning alone, however, often does not deliver the required result. The solution is strict control of water volume during machine cleaning of the raised floor surface. PING Rechenzentrumsreinigung GmbH has successfully tested suitable machines in its own test environment. Documented testing allows us to deliver excellent cleaning results for conductive raised floors in critical infrastructure. Our expertise in cleaning and restoring resilient floor coverings, combined with specialist knowledge of electrostatic discharge (ESD), continues to set PING GmbH apart from the competition.
Coating and sealing raised floor surfaces
The suitable sealant and the number of sealing layers are agreed in advance with the manufacturer and applied by PING GmbH accordingly. We pay particular attention to preventing moisture from entering the cavity area between the raised floor panels. Drying times are observed according to manufacturer instructions. Machine cleaning followed by polishing extends the service life of the raised floor and supports the principles of sustainable building in the spirit of the German Sustainable Building Council, DGNB e.V.
